Sunday in Gloucester and Monday in Canton.

Dear Mother Nature, was up wich you grl? deeply confused, Colt. ...So after our Sub freezing, blizzard fest on Saturday, Sunday helped define the meaning of Polar opposites. 67* and sun shine. All day. The venue is right on the ocean, so there was a nice sea breeze to carry in that summer smell. ( "Ah, Da Wedda, vedy peculiar" -Raffiki..."You're so wise. Like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair" - Ron Burgundy ) The race itself didn't go too great on my behalf. About a quarter in I was doing/feeling great. I was up further than I had hoped and was only riding 7 beats above my AT. ( sometimes I like to think I can fool the laws of science and just ride the hole thing anaerobic. It hasn't worked for me yet, but sometimes those nerves get the best of me.) Lap 3 came around, and TSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!... Yup. Rear flat. DAMN! It didn't help that I was about as far away from the pit as possible... I ran my way around the lap, took my pit bike, did a lap on that, came back in, took my other bike back, all fixed up ( or so I thought ). Half a lap in on that, I find the Mavic guys never re-attached my rear brake after changing the wheel. I don't need to explain the physics to you in the case of coming into a corner to fast and locking up your front brake. I ate a nice hardy meal of mud and rock. Face first. By now, I was riding alone at the non-business end of the pack, and struggled the rest of the way in, for some place deep into the double didgets. it was a bummer, but theres always so much good you can find in races like this. They are useful learning experiences for the futures, and every racer has to go through them someday in there life. ( its days like that where I like to think im getting mine out of the way early on in my career. : ) Monday was a rough awakening. Everything was sore. The hole freezing and thawing out of Lactic Acid couldn't have helped. I was up early in the AM for a meeting that got canceled. So with all this day light, and a short attention span when it comes to school. What was I to do with myself!?.. 10 am struck, I was going crazy with English homework, and still had 2 hours until West Wing. I figured id go for a climb, but about 5 feet of the ground, found myself lacking majorly in the streangth department. In the end, I went weak on myself and busted out the latter and repelled the morning away. Nothing like some quality Ninja training to help recover from a rough weekend. ( I wish I had brothers named rocky and tum tum.)(the latter of the tow, especially) West Wing was amazing. ( theres a surprise! ). Miss. Landingmah passed away Friday, Bartlett went all Latin in the cathedral after the funeral, then finely came out about his MS. ( and with a little help from a ghost, decided to go fro 4 more years!)... As far as the new season goes. This Sunday is the Live Debate. Let me just say this. *6tY:{j&U&UTgvUYF!!!!!!. Its gonna be good! sorry for being so... blan. Trivial. Overly descriptive. I got carried away. Back to normal tomorrow. I promise. Hakuna Matata, Colt ps. Dear Cindy, I am very sorry, but i have to retire this Jason Mraz song now. Im as big a fan as you, trust me, but its just not fair to the other 10 billon songs out there. this will NOT, however, be the last you hear of Mr. Mraz. ( nor will it be the last you hear of this song ). -
