2003 represent! The Big Bang was always one of my favorite events on the calendar. I wonder what ever happed to the rest of that years EFAT crew? I slept a whopping 12 hours last night! Had just enough time to break the fast and get in a quick run before planting myself back in bed for the live web cast of Nike Team Nationals. Mixed feeling on my part, but overall I was quite satisfied with the outcome. Everyone ran there hardest, and that's all you can ask. First the Kenyans lived up to there creed in the mornings open races sweeping the top spots in both the guys and dolls races. Then the real deal ladies went off at 10:30. I almost peed my pants with excitement as the Hilton girls were owning the field after the first 2k. Then, Murphy’s law prevailed, and we inevitably lost ground and could only muster up a second place. (I say we because by 4k i was running circles around the room faster than they were) Not all was lost as the title will still come back to New York for an unprecedented third strait year. Not to mention the hottie from Colt's Neck, NJ (aka, My Neck) who ran away with the victory in the individual sense. The guys finals was too close to call throughout. I think the top 3 teams where separated by a mere 20 points after the 4th interval. Steve Murdock (aka James, for some reason?) ran a sick nasty fast 16:26 (Compared to the Kenyans 15:53) to take the Individual honors and Coatesville boys took the close battle in the team standings. My buddies from Los Alamos had to settle for a disappointing 13th after some food poisoning and a loss of shoe. Bummer... My leg's are more or less two big sacks of mashed potatoes after this week. Another good day tomorrow before things finally start to taper off for Nationals. For now, it's a third strait meal in bed and lights out.

That picture is great. I wonder when I realized that racing with camelbacks wasn't cool. MAPEI represent.
