It was all a dream, I used to read Word Up magazine

Alright, I'm back. August 1 is here and with it comes the return of the blog. As annoying as all your Emails were :) I appreciate all the demands to bring it back. Ever since way back in Fontana things have just been going on hyper drive. Funny how when life gets exciting enough it's then that you loose the motivation to share the stories. Plenty of you seem to think I left my bikes on the street corner for the garbage man to pick up- that's not the case. I just needed a couple weeks off the national tour to take care of some things on the home front. I had some fun threesomes around the Northeast and Virginia to keep things exciting for a couple months (read: off-road triathlon.) Turns out I'm not terrible at a few other sports and, when done in rapid succession, can put together some descent results. Mountain biking is still where it's at for me- I get my daily dosage of dirt- but the plan is to carry on doubling up through Xterra world champs and see where things go from there. Aside from the daily shammy dance, I've bought a car, organized a cyclocross series for this fall, and as of today, moved into my new condo in Lowell. No need to catch up all at once, this should be enough to feed your curiosity for now. The last thing the blogosphere needs is another Frank Mapel, so we'll keep this short for today.
