Back Home...

Well, not my real home. Nor the place I sometimes call home in MA. In this case, im back in San Francisco. The Trip up to Mammoth went well. The drive there, through Yosemite National park, was certainly a highlight of the trip. The landscape there was amazing! Lakes that made Darts look like a puddle (but still, not the 14th largest in the world), and rock faces 100 times more "slide off", then Slide off itself. We got in to Mammoth late Wednesday night, with just barley enough time for a pre ride before night fall. Why did we arrive so late? Due to a threat on my life and computer, I am forbidden from blogging about my dads driving abilities along the Cliffs of Yosemite. (All 150 miles, of cliffs.. no land speed records were set this day.)(Tim, picture the crosswinds coming back though Snake River gorge in UT, and then put cliffs on the side of the road, with no guard rail, you can imagine my fear.) The racing went, well, O.K. I suppose. XC was rough, with a double flat on the first lap. Once finally riding it into the pits, and getting a wheel, I had lost too much time to still be in contention. I pushed on, anyway, picking off a few more riders here and there (most of which then DNFed, because they are… people who DNF. (The same people I might add, that don’t understand the importance of a posse bracelet: I just don’t understand those people.) The remainder of the racing went better, closed out with good day in STXC. (I spent 20 minutes chasing down Tristan Uhl (“my only completion” – Dave Scherp) only to catch him, and let him pull through the start finish. Well, we got pulled that lap, and he took the place in front of me. Damn. A few title winners on the weekend.. Colin Cares in the STXC, Trevor Downing in the super D, Noah Singer in the Super D, Marry M. in the XC, Chole Forsmen in the STXC, Ben K. in the XC, and of course AC in the Super D & STXC…. Congrats guys. ( in New England racing news, Steff White took a 3rd in the women’s open C-X race this weekend in MA,.. Amazing!) Me no type no more. I leave you with these. (Yosemidi) i insisted we pull over. with evry intention of swimming... then, i saw snow, and my toes almost froze off... next year.

2 flats, 1 crash later... exausted in the XC.STXC... i live for this stuff... (to be over) That'll do for now. big day planed here in San Fran. im doing it SSSASP style. a bike and a backpack, and no clue were i am going. goals include, riding across the Gloden Gate Bridge, and finding a Barns & Nobles... so if im not back by dinner, its ok, im fine, no SP required. : )

Thank you for the update.
I feel much better.
However, NOTHING can make Darts Lake look like a puddle.
Even those mountains.

...sorry, but is that Van Morrison?
I can't turn the sound up, I'm in class. Oops.
But if it is...you're very cultured.

--My most sincere apologies. Even the 14th, ( or 1st for that matter) largest lake in the world, could NEVER makes darts look like a puddle. If anything, the opposite would be true. I know better than that.

--heck yes that’s Van Morrison!

-- I am afraid I was all out of blue tape : ( . and, ticket:: as soon as I get home!, maybe not home, in the true sense of the word, but few places could ever come closer to imitating the real thing.

I CANNOT pick lyrics. I've been thinking and listing for an hour, and I can't pick.

Here's some BTE, Beatles, Guster, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones and Dave Matthews, Van Morrison and Gin Blossoms...in no order.

This is way hard.

King of New Orleans
In The Blood
Teenager
Rosealia
Coyote
Ticket To Ride
The Night Before
Two Points For Honesty
Miss You
Paint It Black
Purple Haze
All Along The Watchtower
Stay
Satellite
Domino
Bright Side of the Road
Found Out About You
Not Only Numb

Too hard.
