Take the keys and lock me up
I'm having a little more trouble shaking this normal people day to day stuff that I imagined. The riding is back in full swing, but the rest of life isn't slowing down as much as I had hoped.
today's ride was certainly one of the more peculiar. I worked my cross running into my ride for a little variety. Ride/run/ride/run... I did a tour of the tracks; if you will. First on the list was the mass hospital school for a quick two mile. The wet cement track wasn't very forgiving on my sore bare feet.
Next up was a mile TT at the High School track. They resurfaced over the summer, and in perfect time for my bare foot adventures. The rough surface left me a little numb in the toes, but for a new PR it was worth it.
I had only planed to do the first and third laps at race pace, but after the first, race mode took over, and thoughts of a new record popped into mind. In the end, it was a worthy effort given the circumstances.
after running and riding all morning, how was I supposed to ride around the lake, and not go out for a swim. It was cold and rainy already, so, when wet...
I felt like such a tri geek.
nothing like a turning a few heads in the high park stop & shop. " I don't want apple juice! I want Apple drink! It's green!" ( for those of you who haven't seen PP's myspace, I'm sorry for that quote.) ( actually, for those of you who don't know PP, I apologize for that as well. )
what would this blog be without a picture of me elevating.
The party went long tonight and I still smell like that lake. A shower and a nap are looking really good about now.
