it wasn't his fault. it was the assfault.
in his own words. " the Fuc*^$ staple thing blew out my front tire beofore the cobbles section, and F*u$king ended up on my hip!... but i'm aight."
So Blake took quite the digger decending deceding Chicatobutt. it looks like he caught a pice of metal that had been traped in the cobbles. flatted on impact and slid the front wheel out at speeds close to mock 3.
i turned around just in time to see him come to a skidding stop, on his bike, with his bike upsidedown, above him, pedals still cliped in and all. the extend of the damage seems to be just a liitle scuff on the grop and seat, and a busted hanger. ( oh, and a little scrape on the hip and Lbow.
fresh off his near death expereance, i was nice enough to let him change his own flat.
he rode back fine. the only worrisum part was when we got home and it came time to rub it down with some disinfectant. he was in the bathroom creeming like a 5$ hooker. at one point i wasnt sure if he was gonna make it. stingy stuff is worse then the crash in my opinion.
view from the top of mt. chicatobutt. we climbed up the acces road despite being closed to 2 wheel traffic. that thing kicks up to a stedy 18-20% for just over a minute of out of the saddle time.
for those of you who have done skyline with me, this is the view from where we jusp over the rusty fence twards the start, and climb up that woden platform thing. if it was summer, this would have been were we ran for shade. if we did it in winter, this is wear the wind perminetly changed the color of your skin.... blakes MTB is still in critical condition, so ive got him diled in my moms 1980 somthing, trek 600 single track with an upgraded Judy fork. hopfully he'll keep the rubber side down on this evnings outing... Timo, how was Mt. Snow today? dry?... peace for now.
