chillin' like ice cream fillin'
Back in Park City after a nice three days of lounging around in San Fran with Laurie. Despite all the walking around and uncomfortable seats at the movies, it turned out to be good quality rest.
For a major city, you cant really beat the views. The best resting spot was ontop of the apartment building. You could see evrywhich way for miles, and at night the lights of the city where a good backdrop to a bowl of cereal and some Itunes.
Found this out along the San Fran Grand Prix route. I like to think McCormick himself carved it in there when he took second in 03'.
Got out on the road bike for the first time in a while today for an easy loop down the valley and up through the canyons. I ended up climbing up main street for a while which then turned to a dirt construction road for even longer. I turned back with still no top in sight, so I think I might take the MTB up there tomorrow on the steady ride and see what I can find. Despite the stutter bumps on the dirt, it was a forgiving gradient and lined with trees, which is a welcomed change to most of the road climbing I've been doing out here... I suggest not pealing off the bike path at 25 to try and clear the sets of doubles on your road bike. Unless of course you like the feeling of sliding face first in the gravel.
Back to the usual now. Ride. Then come back and put the feet up for movie/nap hour. The Lion King has been on heavy rotation these days.
I'm headed back inside. I think the peoples whose lawn I'm sitting on, ( stealing there wireless) are starting to get suspicious...
