Sonoma

...and that's all I have to say about this course. I'm sure it looked good to the desingers when they layed it out. ( while finishing there 3rd case of wine )If it weren't nationals, id have my entry switched into the road race. ( it's probly held on the same course ). Imagine being a track runner, and showing up to a concrete track, in the shape of an octagon, banked at a 10% angle, sloping towards the outside. That's kind of what this is in relation to a mountain bike course. Half the track is paved, and the other half looks like the mowed a line in the grass, let it rain, rode some horses, and dried it immediately. A full suspention cyclocross bike would be ideal here. ( word is JKK is going 29er ) by the end of the weekend, I will have done 16 laps out there... I sure picked the right time for my first marathon. 7 a.m start. I'm out. Holding the race at a speedway means atleast there's going to be something interesting to watch while all that bike racing is going on... I wonder if this race is part of Sager's Russian CNS training?
