Another whole box of pandora's

Ever run with a camera before? Don't.Ever get 20 minutes into a 5 hour ride and remember that you forgot to eat before you left? Don't! I found myself with $2.00 searching the gas station for the most calories I could find. ( a new experience for me completely ) I talked the girl behind the counter into giving me 10 cents off some chex mix. 400 calories of junk in the tank and I was off. I couldn't help but think this must be like those people who run there car on the fry grease from the local Burger King. It was surprising quite efficient. One of my favorite drills is what I like to call "drunk driving". Its pretty simple; find a tight and twisty course, wait for rain, and don't touch your brakes. The way I see it, the only way to truly know your limits, is to go harder and harder, until something stops you. Sometimes, you physically can't push any harder. Other times, the trail just pushes back. Personally, I'm fond of option 'B'. Think of it as, there are no physical limitations, only technical ones. For example: wet bridges. I've always said, crashing always makes you look good.Last stop on the ride was to meat up with the Wednesday night world's group. Schooling a bunch of 30 and 40 somethings on your mountain bike will never get old to me. We had a pretty big group tonight and, despite the usual ferocious attacks, we stayed together for a good chunk of the time. 5:15 in the bank, and I am ready to catch up on my caloric intake. My glycogen stores couldn't fuel a trip up the stairs at this point. Even making it into the kitchen is going to be a challenge.the important thing is, only half an lb. Above race weight. ( and that could just be the flip flops. )
